Committed to the Cause
We are a family of Christian believers, seven in all. We believe the Holy Bible was authored through the inspired anointing and working of the Holy Spirit. We confess that we are sinners in need of a Savior - a Savior who died for our sins that we may be redeemed as righteous before the Father, a Savior that rose from the dead so that we may have eternal life - and that Savior is Jesus Christ, who said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." We believe Jesus is who he claimed to be as recorded in the Gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us."
Why "Hearts Devoted to Hope?" It started with a promise to a young man, a promise that what he believed and how he saw life through the eyes of Christ was important to share; a life that reflects within us that we are to "Love our neighbor as we love ourselves"; a promise that his name would live on in a legacy he came to know, understand, and live by as this life gave way to his eternal life with Christ. It was Diego's wish, even if for a moment in time, to bring a smile to the faces of children who were battling cancer as he did, and for them to know that through the triumphs and trials of life, Jesus loves them and is with them. It is our hope to provide these families with a quiet, relaxing day away from the "fight," spiritual and emotional support, a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and a great many prayers. We are supported by a large number of believers within our church family, Church of the Living God, who in turn have pledged additional support to the ministry. We hope to help provide those everyday necessities that spring up and confront a family undergoing these trials. Somehow, and in some way, we hope to make a difference in the lives of people the Lord sets upon our path.
